Common issue: Charge port door sticking

The charge port door sticking is common in cold weather.

**Immediate fix:**

- Gently push the door with your finger while pressing the button

- Never force it

**Prevention:**

- Apply a thin layer of silicone grease to the hinge

- Keep the port area clean of ice in winter

- Park in a garage when possible

Tesla has acknowledged this and a software-side fix may improve the motor force in a future update.
